This page provides some information on how to install and use jMocha.

Installing j-mocha.2.0


  1. Download j-mocha.2.0.win32.tar.gz
  2. Unpack j-mocha.2.0.win32.tar.gz (e.g., using WinZip)
  3. Adapt mocha.bat to your system, e.g.,
    rem *** j-mocha.2.0 bat ***
    rem uncomment and put appropriate path in the following line
    set mochaHome=E:\programs\j-mocha.2.0
    rem uncomment the following three lines
    set classpath=%mochaHome%
    set path=%mochaHome%\mocha\platform\win32;%path%
    cd %mochaHome%\mocha\examples
    rem run mocha
    java mocha.gui.manager.MochaPM
  4. Run mocha.bat


  1. Download j-mocha.2.0.linux.tar.gz
  2. Unpack (tar xvfz j-mocha.2.0.linux.tar.gz)
  3. Download the script mocha.sh and adapt it to your system, e.g.,
      # a script that runs j-mocha
      setenv JMOCHA "/home/jobstman/programs/j-mocha.2.0"
      setenv CLASSPATH "$JMOCHA"
      setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH "$JMOCHA/mocha/platform/linux"
      java mocha.gui.manager.MochaPM
  4. j-mocha need the library "libtermcap.so.2"

    If your system provides only "libtermcap.so" link from $JMOCHA/mocha/platform/linux to it with the right name:
      cd $JMOCHA/mocha/platform/linux
      ln -s /usr/lib/libtermcap.so libtermcap.so.2
  5. Run mocha.sh
